What does a Kitchen Team Supervisor do?

The Kitchen Team Supervisor assists in providing our guests with best-in-class, off-the-chart, meals by leading the Kitchen Team and supervising all venue culinary activities. It requires two important skill sets - culinary management and great leadership.

The Kitchen Team Supervisor, under the direction of the Executive Chef, supervises, trains, coaches, and drives engagement with their team to ensure the highest-quality culinary experience for our guests. They also manage the culinary operations, managing inventory, ordering product, ensuring safety and sanitation and maintaining kitchen areas.

The Kitchen Team Supervisor may be responsible for either day-to-day operations on the line or events execution.

 Key Accountabilities of the Position include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure the consistent, high-quality preparation & execution of all menu items in Roc's Bar.
• Assist and maintain the highest level of food safety standards and kitchen best practices in Roc’s Bar
• Assist in the development, presentation & succession planning of Kitchen team members
• Assist the Executive Chef in ongoing menu development & performance improvement.
• Maintain highest standard of kitchen presentation and equipment cleanliness
• Assist in Food Production for the greater VCA business.

 What are we looking for?

This role is perfect for someone who has experience in Food and Beverage and who has the below qualities:

• Hands on approach and lead by example
• Strong knowledge of current cooking trends and techniques
• Able to follow direction and execute with precision as directed by the Chef de Cuisine
• Work well under pressure
• Able to work weekends and nights
• Strong organizational skills
• Great communication & leadership skills
