The opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team! As a Registered Nurse with Village Roadshow Theme Parks, you will be required to provide emergency first aid and medical care to both guests and team members whilst promoting a safe workplace.

Your day to day:
• Provide primary care for guests and team members whilst maintaining accurate and confidential records.
• Liaise with external medical providers and health practitioners as required.
• Provide assistance to the Rehabilitation Coordinator, assisting with suitable duties programs for work related and non work related injuries.
• Check and maintain medical equipment and First Aid kits across the parks.
• Conduct Drug and Alcohol testing as per company policy.
• Assist in Health Promotion, Flu or other vaccination programmes.
• Provide EAP referral for team members.

What you’ll bring:
• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience – Occupational Health Nurse / Emergency nurse highly desirable
• Experience in working in a fast paced hospital/clinic/similar environment highly desirable.
• Verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills – and compassionate, genuine beside manner.
• Certification in Provide First Aid HLTAID011 and Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy HLTAID015
• Driver’s License.
• Occupational First Aid HLTSS00068 advantageous.
• Rehabilitation and Return to Work Co-ordinator Certification & experience advantageous.
• Strong computer skills, with competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Immunisation for Hepatitis B is recommended.
• Good physical fitness with the ability to stand for long periods, walk, lift, squat, push, pull &/or carry heavy objects up to 12kg.
• Sharp time management skills and deep desire to give the best possible care and patient service.
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills with the confidence and ability to work independently.
• Willingness and ability to work in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts across seven days, including evenings and weekends.
